How to Make
Fleece Scarf
|
|
If summer season is
the time to show all your curves, in those revealing outfits,
winter season is for covering every inch of your body. However,
this does not mean that you cannot look sexy in winters. Though
the winter clothes are usually a bit on the bulkier side, you
can add oomph to them by accessorizing. Amongst the most common
accessories in winters is a scarf, that too the one made from
fleece. It not only makes you look chic, but can also be used to
cover your head, when the chilly wind blows.

Instructions: |
-
First of all, decide on how long you want to scarf to be and
then, measure its dimensions.
-
While buying the fleece fabric for your scarf, remember that the
stretch in the fabric should run the length of your scarf.
-
If
you also want fringes in your scarf, the length of the fabric
should be around 6 inches more than the exact length.
-
Spread the fabric on a flat work surface, making sure to keep
the wrong side up.
-
With the help of a fabric cutting board, a fabric marking pen
and a yardstick or ruler, mark a rectangle that has the desired
scarf dimensions.
-
Again mark the fabric, at a distance of about 3 inches, on the
either sides, where you want to fleece to be.
-
Cut out the rectangle along the marked lines, making use of
dressmaker shears.
-
Draw a series of horizontal lines, ¼ inch apart, between the
outer and inner markings on the scarf.
-
Cut along each of the horizontal lines, made in the previous
step, using dressmaker shears or a rotary cutter.
-
Your fleece scarf is ready.
